Felicia Anthony Named as Executive Director at The Village at Rockville

Felicia Anthony has a passion for serving older adults and says she was drawn to The Village at Rockville by NLCS’ mission of honoring, inspiring and supporting choice and opportunity in partnership with older adults. In Felicia’s words, “I’ve known since I was a tiny tot that I needed to help older adults to be fulfilled.” She has made ensuring older adults experience the highest quality of life and care her life’s work, as demonstrated by her extensive background in advocacy, aging services and health care management and leadership in Life Plan Communities, sub-acute hospital-based programs and free-standing skilled nursing homes in Maryland and Ohio. She has also served as a rural enterprise development agent for the Peace Corps in Senegal, West Africa.

Felicia holds licensure as a nursing home administrator in Maryland and Washington, D.C. and is a Maryland-certified assisted living manager. She has a Master of Public Administration degree with emphasis in gerontology and finance from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Arts in gerontology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She was appointed by two governors as chair of the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators and served as a former delegate to the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB). Her volunteerism and community involvement include serving with Days End Horse Rescue Farm and Advocacy for the Developmentally Disabled.
