The Village at Rockville is one of the most sought after retirement communities in Montgomery County and demand has never been higher to become a resident. Our Village Explorer program was designed to integrate you into the community prior to making a move.

We have two membership levels available.

Passport Member

Our Village Explorer program has been intentionally designed to integrate you into the community prior to making a move. This unique program allows you to give life at The Village at Rockville a try while you’re waiting for your home style/floor plan preference to be available. This option is best for those ready to make a move to our community within a year.

  • Personal call from your sales counselor when your floor plan preference becomes available
  • Quarterly dining opportunities and the option to bring a guest
  • Access to quarterly ConnectedLiving events, giving you the opportunity to enjoy programming at the community with current residents
  • Access to the Village Explorer portal
  • Each member will be given a Village Explorer Passport to use while visiting the community and participating in events
  • Invitations to events to prepare for your move, including real estate and expert legal advice seminars
  • Each member will be assigned a resident ambassador
  • Opportunities for connection with our team including the executive director, resident experience director, the health services team and our home care partner, myPotential at Home—A National Lutheran Service
  • Access to assisted living and skilled nursing, if those services become needed


Explorer Member

Not ready to commit to a timeline? That’s ok! You can still become a Village Explorer with The Village at Rockville. Village Explorers are those considering a move to our community but are not yet ready to commit to a timeline. As a Village Explorer, you still receive opportunities to get to know our community better and receive resources to prepare for a move. After seeing what an incredible community we have, it won’t be long before you’re ready to become a Passport Member!

  • An invitation to an annual event with other Village Explorers
  • Invitations to community seminars on topics such as downsizing and preparing for a move
  • Assigned sales counselor to contact for resources on the community
  • Priority access to become a Passport Member when you are ready
  • Access to assisted living and skilled nursing, if those services become needed
